Kez and I decided to peruse some furniture shops yesterday and starting noting down some ideas. Here are a few pendant lights that we like that may perhaps hang over the kitchen island.
The standard design of the Breeze 25 includes a walk-in-pantry with simple shelves in it as well as the fridge cavity.
This would have been fine until I saw how nice the display walk-in-pantry looked with fully fitted out cabinets, sink (completely unnecessary), and window.
Now I'm wondering if it's worth getting a cabinet maker to come in and give us a quote for the extra cabinets in the WIP. Otherwise we will put a sliding door on the pantry so when guests come over, things don't look so messy.
Unfortunately the big 'M' charges an arm and a leg to get extra's like this installed.
Yesterday we visited a number of display homes to get ideas for colour schemes. We want to keep the overall scheme relatively light given that it's a narrow space. We like the look of large white titles for our flooring but also don't mind the laminate floorboards that are used in the Breeze display home (see header picture above).
We're very excited about having a kitchen island (yay!) and have chosen 40mm caesar stone (maybe in an ice snow colour).
So, the big decision at the moment is tiles versus floorboards. Which should win?
