So not a lot has been happening this last month except for paper shuffling. We have received developer approval (yay!) and should have the building permit today (although no word as yet from the Big M or the local council).
All we have left to do is to obtain the asset protection permit from the local council - I have sent off the email with my condition report so hopefully we get the permit asap and then hopefully start site works soon after.
As part of the condition report, I had to take pictures of any existing cracks/damage to the council assets (i.e. vehicle crossover and footpath) - lucky we inspected this a few days ago as there is a bit of damage there now that wasn't evident a few weeks ago.

In other news, it looks like our next door neighbours have started building and now have a slab and frame. Our corner house neighbour is well and truly into the build and should be moving in by the end of the year (I think). That just leaves our little empty plot in the middle...hopefully it won't be empty for much longer. Fingers crossed that my next post will be more exciting!
We did also meet our neighbour across the road who has already moved in. The street is certainly starting to take shape now :)
