The last week in Melbourne has been a scorcher (with 4 days above 40 degrees, ugh) so it doesn't look like a lot has happened. Just before the heat wave started however, we noticed that all the sinks, taps and toilets were installed. They are looking good except for two things - the bath spout is too short so that when you turn the tap on, the water hits the edge of the bath tub :/ The other issue spotted was the downstairs powder room sink which has been installed off-centre. It's quite obvious and looks bizarre in my opinion. Anyway, our SS has been informed and these small issues should get fixed. Here are some of the photos below.
Besides the taps and sink fittings, we were glad to see that the storage under the staircase has finally happened!
We also noticed the other day that all the door handles have been installed. I'll upload some pictures of that next time.
Not sure when the house is scheduled to be finished, but fingers crossed for a late Feb finish.
Meanwhile, Kez and I have been continuing to purchase bits and pieces for the house. 3 barstools are now sitting in our apartment, along with 2 pendant lights (for the kitchen) and a few other lights for around the house. We also bought a ridiculous 60 inch LED TV for the living room - our existing 42 inch plasma just wasn't going to cut it.
