Last weekend, Kez and I went to visit our favourite display home again and spoke to the Metricon salesman for a good 4 hours. We added a few more items to the preliminary quote such as upgraded doors etc. and unfortunately did not find anything to subtract. I did have a slight dilemma though about whether or not we should upgrade our doors upstairs. Standard ceiling height is about 2400mm. We are upgrading the ceiling height downstairs to 2700mm and also upgrading the door sizes accordingly. Upstairs however, we are only going to a height of 2550mm and are planning to stick with standard size doors. I'm hoping this won't look odd...any advice or opinions would be appreciated. I haven't been to a display home with 2550mm ceilings and standard door heights yet so I can't really picture how it will look.
Anyway, here are some pics I took of the display home.
Hi there, we are currently building with M as well, Glendale 34. We upgraded the height of the ceiling upstairs to 2550mm and have left it with the standard doors. Honestly, it looks fine and would put the money somewhere else. 2700mm downstairs with the upgraded doors will look fantastic, they are huge!!

Thanks Rachael. We have in the end decided to go standard doors with the 2550mm height upstairs and upgraded doors for 2700mm downstairs. Looks like you are already well and truly into your build with big M. I'm eagerly awaiting site start!

We have just had our fixing invoice sent through so it will probably be another couple of months. It really comes down to your SS. We have a truly awful one and I waited too long to call our CSC to ask if we were where we should be. We are probably 2 months behind. Its important to sort of know a time frame, i.e. your build time has been 180 days and you haven't got plaster, somethings wrong. Good luck with the build!!

Such a shame about your SS :( I hope the rest of your build goes according to schedule. It's hard to know what to expect when you are first time builders. Good luck with it all!
Fingers crossed we get a good SS. Our CSC hasn't been the best so far (not very responsive). I hope that's not a bad sign.

Hello Viv.
We have a very narrow Block and we are looking at the Breeze by M.
Without all the extras what is a rough Price that they had given to you. Thankyou

Hi Loretta,
From memory, the approximate price of the Breeze 25 is around the 230k mark for building in Melbourne Metro - it can change slightly depending on which suburb you want to build in. This is the base price without any extras or upgrades.
